C~urb has been the development agent for Wellhouse HA, a community controlled HA in the east end of Glasgow, since January 2023 and in that short time have progressed our development ambitions significantly including setting up 2 design teams; negotiating with land owners, statutory bodies and grant providers on our behalf; presented options to staff and committee and supported our organisation’s learning and development. C~urb provides a tailored pre and post contract development service for Hillhead Housing Association. We appointed them in April 2023 to take forward a design and build project with a major house builder as part of a Section 75 Agreement with our local council. We selected C~urb because of their knowledge and experience of similar types of projects.
Their committee information and reporting is very clear and concise and complies with our regulatory requirements for RSLs involved in development activity. C~urb staff respond to information requests timeously and are always happy to provide additional support when asked.
We also have benefited from access to their Framework Agreement which has streamlined the contract procurement process for the appointment of Employers’ Agent, and the Contractor itself.
The experience and knowledge of the Scottish Government’s AHSP was invaluable when it came to the preparation and submission of the Tender Application. We are looking forward to working with their post contract team when the project goes on site in February 2024.

On completion of the Tendering process of our Phase 10 development at Lochfield Park, Scottish Government had introduced their on line system for completion of Tenders. We were unfamiliar with the system so approached C~urb for assistance.
There was a time pressure on the submission and the C~urb team was able to quickly get up to speed with the project particulars to complete the application timeously allowing the approval within the desired timescales and obtaining the required level of grant needed for the project, guiding the Association through the process.
